October 30 there was the last meeting of the Working Group on Circular Economy promoted by Italian Council of Ministers.
During 2016, the working group has developed three main themes:
- Extended producer responsibility (EPR)
- Calculation of circularity of products
- New market models (from product to service)
At the work table, in addition to representatives of the Ministry of Enterprise and Ministry of Environment, was attended by over 20 companies from different sectors including: Autogrill, Dalma Mangimi, Fater, Monge, Contarina, Cremonini, Hera, Enel Cosmob, Diadora, PVC forum, Versalis, DNV-GL.
It was conducted a pilot project to calculate the circularity of products that found positive aspects in terms of applicability and results. All results were presented to a representative of EU Commission, DG Environment, in order to promote and disseminate the activities carried out at international level.
The arch. Marco Capellini was attended to the work table as a circular economy expert and as a support to the coordination of technical work and also for the development of the calculation methodology of circularity of products.
