A roadmap for the measurement of circularity, is the title of the article that Arch Marco Capellini, CEO of Matrec, wrote for magazine Management of Utilities and Infrastructures edited by Agici Finanza d’Impresa. In this article is explained how is possible to develop a circularity measurement path for products or services, considering functional KPIs connected to the project. For companies is important to be able to build their roadmap according to the improvement goals to be achieved.
The roadmap for measuring circularity was presented and discussed for the first time at a meeting of the Alliance for the Circular Economy, which today counts 17 companies such as A2A, Aquafil, Bvlgari, Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, Cetena (Fincantieri Group), CIRFOOD, Costa Crociere, Enel, ERG, FaterSMART, Gruppo Hera, Intesa Sanpaolo, NextChem (Maire Tecnimont Group), Novamont, Salvatore Ferragamo, TH-Resorts and Touring Club Italiano.
MEASURE AND CERTIFY THE CIRCULAR ECONOMY – WEBINAR
On June 10, 2020 from 14.55 to 16.00, will take place the webinar “MEASURE AND CERTIFY THE CIRCULAR ECONOMY” organized by Bureau Veritas, which will be attended as a speaker by arch. Marco Capellini.
The event is aimed to present a new technical protocol to measure the performance of circularity of products, services and projects, implementing the principles of circular economy.
The protocol, developed by Matrec with support of Bureau Veritas Italia, is divided into 3 main tools:
– Circular Materials Mapping Company (Material Capital),
– Circular Materials Mapping Product,
– Circular Economy Performance.
The protocol is characterized by specifications that can also be used for certification proces.
The Certification can be applly to two different areas:
1. measurement and reporting of the material balance,
2. reporting of improvements achieved and communication to stakeholders.
